Teertham 108 is proposed as a series of approximately fifteen-minute immersive, experiential documentaries which will take the viewers on an audio-visual journey through the intricate carvings, sculptures, paintings that adorn the temple walls and ceilings, and delve into the history, stories and legends associated with each temple.
The aim is to interview experts, scholars, temple authorities and devotees to provide insight into the spiritual significance of temples and their relevance to humankind across ages.
Each episode would make us dive into the temple's overall perspective of its existence and importance. There would be a prominent voice-over and corresponding music that will guide us through the entire episode.
Teertham 108 is our flagship project, which will endeavour to blend ancient knowledge with futuristic storytelling and filming techniques. This series will encompass 108 pilgrimage sites, exploring their history, architecture, culture, spiritual significance and most importantly, ‘satya-ology’ (not mythology).
